Hayati Pro sells vaping products only to customers aged 18 or over. Every UK order is age-verified at checkout by a third-party age verification provider. Any order that fails the check is blocked.
Why Hayati Pro verifies age
UK law makes it a criminal offence to sell nicotine products to anyone under 18. The Nicotine Inhaling Products (Age of Sale and Proxy Purchasing) Regulations 2015 set the ban and the penalty. The Tobacco and Related Products Regulations 2016 (TRPR) sit alongside as the wider legal framework for vape sales.
Age verification protects young people from nicotine dependence and keeps Hayati Pro compliant with UK retail law.
How the Hayati Pro age gate works
Hayati Pro runs an automated age verification check on every order at checkout. The check compares your details against UK age databases through a third-party age verification provider. [CONFIRM: name of provider, e.g. Yoti, AgeChecked, 1account, VerifyMyAge].
The age gate runs in three steps:
- Enter your name, address and date of birth at checkout.
- Pass the automated check against UK age databases.
- Complete payment once the check confirms you are 18 or over.
The check runs on every order, with no exceptions. Passing the check does not remove Hayati Pro's right to request further ID before dispatch if anything looks unclear.
Age verification on delivery
Hayati Pro parcels ship through DPD and DHL from UK stock. Where the courier's own age-on-delivery service applies, younger-looking recipients may be asked for photo ID under the Challenge 25 standard.
Keep a valid photo ID nearby when the parcel is due. A courier who cannot verify the recipient's age may refuse handover and return the parcel to Hayati Pro.
Accepted proof of age
Hayati Pro accepts four forms of photo ID where age is questioned before dispatch or on delivery.
- Passport: a valid UK or international passport.
- UK photocard driving licence: full or provisional.
- PASS card: any card carrying the Proof of Age Standards Scheme hologram.
- National identity card: a government-issued photo ID card.
Expired ID is not accepted. Photocopies and photos of ID may be accepted on a case-by-case basis where the original cannot be produced.
Proxy purchasing is illegal
Buying vapes or nicotine pouches for someone under 18 is a criminal offence in the UK. The law calls this proxy purchasing, and it sits inside the same 2015 Regulations as the under-18 sales ban.
Hayati Pro cancels any order linked to proxy purchasing and refunds the payment. Where evidence exists, Hayati Pro may report the order to the relevant authority.
What happens if an age check fails
A failed age check pauses the order before payment or dispatch. Hayati Pro emails the customer to request a valid photo ID.
Two outcomes follow:
- ID confirms 18 or over: the order is released and dispatched as normal.
- ID cannot be provided or fails: the order is cancelled and refunded in full.
Repeated underage attempts
Hayati Pro records age verification results as part of its legal audit trail. Repeated underage attempts from the same customer, address or payment method may be reported to Trading Standards or the police.
Age verification data is held under the privacy policy and retained only as long as UK law requires.
